Microsoft Corporation has an immediate opportunity for an experienced attorney to join the Worldwide Sales Group in the Law and Corporate Affairs department. Focus for this position will be on supporting complex transactions for the WW Services business.
Primary Responsibilities:
â?¢ Structure, draft, negotiate and advise on complex services, licensing and software plus services transactions in the U.S. and globally.
â?¢ Work with Microsoft commercial attorneys to assist with higher risk, more complex, subsidiary-led Services transactions with customers and partners.
â?¢ Advise executives and other internal business clients on a wide range of complex and rapidly developing legal and business issues in the U.S. and internationally, including intellectual property, tax, competition law, services delivery, privacy and security law.
â?¢ Work with product group attorneys and legal specialists on issues requiring cross-team collaboration, with an emphasis on intellectual property, security, privacy, regulatory compliance and export controls.
Qualifications: â?¢ Minimum of 8 years of top law firm or relevant in-house experience, including a significant amount of experience in technology and intellectual property counseling, commercial transactions, and online consumer issues. â?¢ Outstanding analytical, organizational and communication skills. â?¢ Keen business sense, ability to think strategically and desire to establish a â??trusted advisorâ? relationship with executives and other business clients. â?¢ Demonstrated ability to work efficiently, meet demanding deadlines in a fast-paced environment, prioritize workflow and adjust to frequent workload fluctuations. â?¢ Strong results orientation and customer focus. â?¢ Desire and ability to work as part of a team. â?¢ Demonstrated ability to work independently with limited supervision, working with a variety of personalities across a large number of diverse internal groups, teams and cultures.
